Booking requests

In the client portal, booking requests let clients suggest a slot and services for staff review.

Request flow

  1. Client chooses pet and services.
  2. Client selects preferred time (and groomer where available).
  3. Barkway shows availability guidance.
  4. Client submits request.
  5. Staff review and accept/reject.

Request statuses

  • Pending: waiting for staff review.
  • Accepted: converted into a confirmed booking.
  • Rejected: declined by staff.
  • Cancelled: cancelled by the client before review.
  • Expired: timed out without completion.

Good to know

  • Booking requests can be disabled in portal settings.
  • Expiry timing is configurable (default setup often uses 30 days).
