Recall reminders

Keep your calendar healthy with gentle nudges to clients whose pets are overdue.

What triggers a recall reminder?​

A pet is eligible when:

  • Last Groomed is set.
  • The last groom date is older than the recall window.
  • The pet does not already have a future booking.
  • The pet is not opted out of recalls.

What’s the recall window?​

Recall reminders use a default window of 6 weeks. You can change the recall window in Manage → Settings → Bookings using the Recall period (weeks) setting.

How do I enable recall reminders?​

  1. Go to Manage → Settings → Notifications.
  2. Switch Send Auto Recall Reminder to Yes.
  3. Save.

Email vs SMS​

  • Email is live today.
  • SMS is not live yet and is not a priority right now. We plan to add it later as a paid add-on.

Per-pet control​

You can exclude a pet from recall reminders on the Edit Pet screen.

Where do I see the recall list?​

Open Pets and use the Overdue filter to see the recall list.

Tips​

  • Set Last Groomed for new pets so recall timing is accurate.
  • If a pet already has a future booking, Barkway won’t send a recall reminder.
