Short answers to the most common questions from new Barkway users.
How do I get access or create my account?
Barkway accounts are created for you during onboarding. You’ll receive an admin login by email with a password reset link.

Do I need a client and pet before I can book?
Yes. A booking needs a client and a pet attached to it.
Start here: Add your first client and pet.
Can I block out time without a pet?
Yes. When creating a booking, leave the pet blank to mark the slot as Unavailable.

When are online bookings coming?
We’re working on the Client Portal, which will let clients visit your website to create and manage their own bookings online. It’s one of the next features on our roadmap.
Are booking reminders sent automatically?
Yes — once you enable them. Turn on Booking reminders in Manage → Settings → Notifications, set the lead time, and Barkway sends them automatically.

How do deposits work?
You can require a fixed amount or percentage deposit. Barkway calculates it automatically and you can record it now or later.

Can I take card payments inside Barkway?
Not yet. You can still record card payments manually for your ledger.

Do you support SMS reminders?
Not yet. Email reminders are available now; SMS is planned for the future.

How do I send invoices to clients?
Invoices are generated automatically and include a public link you can share.

Can I create services for different sizes or prices?
Yes. Create separate services like Small – Full groom and Large – Full groom for clear pricing.

How do I cancel or reschedule a booking?
You can edit a booking to reschedule or mark it as cancelled.

Can multiple groomers use the same account?
Yes. You can add additional users and set roles/permissions.

Barkway is optimised for desktop and iPad in landscape.

How do I contact support?
