Notifications
Set it and forget it. Barkway can automatically remind clients about upcoming appointments, send a thank-you after payment, and nudge overdue clients to rebook.
What can Barkway send?
- Upcoming booking reminder - sent before the appointment.
- Thank you + invoice link - after a completed and paid booking.
- Recall reminder - for pets overdue based on your recall settings.
Email vs SMS
- Email is live today.
- SMS reminders are not live yet and are not a priority right now. We plan to add them later as a paid add-on.
Configure it
Go to Manage → Settings → Notifications to set:
- Sending options (Enabled / Email only / Disabled)
- Reminder lead time (hours)
- Auto Thank You and delay (minutes)
- Auto Recall on/off
tip
Sending options start off disabled, so no external messages go out by accident.
Good to know
- If communications are disabled, nothing gets sent.
- Pending reminders are removed if a booking is cancelled.
- Thank-you emails only send when the booking is Completed and the invoice is Paid.
